I actually received a call on my big day, 20th November
*keep on reminding* from the MYC company.
Miss x: " Halo, is this Miss Joycelyn. i'm calling from the MYC company. Samsung had once roadshow in your school, and do you remember you wrote something?"
Me: " Oh ya, i did."
Miss x: " Miss, you're now selected as one of the lucky 200 to join our Samsung Mobilers Digital Writers Bootcamp."
Me: " Oh? REALLY ?" i was really elated at the moment, thinking of why am i so lucky
Miss x: " Yes, and you're allowed to bring 3-4 friends along, and you'll receive a certificate from Samsung for your participation and lunch is provided."
Me: " Oh, so when is it and where is it?"
Miss x: " it's 24th November, this Saturday at Jaya 33, section 13. So will you be joining? "
Me: " Can i confirm to you later?"
Miss x: " Ok then, i'll call you again tomorrow. Thank you."
Me: " Thank you."
Well, actually i've wanted to join this event when i was writing that piece of paper...
i forgot the question, but i guess it sounds like this " Describe your world in less than 30 words" and i remember i used some hashtags to show my updatedness. LOLLLLLL
So, i went. alone.
i was so nervous when i saw the dress code is smart casual. I have no idea how smart or how casual should i look. ._.
When i first reach, i was surprised to see the name
Joycelyn Teo Sze Ling.
owhhhh, the girl with the same name as mine is here also ! She's the first ever girl with exactly same spelling as my name i've met over the years, and according to her, i'm also the girl she hardly meet with same name. She said calling me Joycelyn is like calling herself, so weird. Hahahaha
Ok, so not so alone. 2 Joycelyn-s sitting side by side, chit-chatted a lot.kinda like her now :))
All of us actually received a goodie bag from Samsung, car stickers, a file with today's tentative programme and notebook with a pen. Basically, this MYC is to build a bridge between we youths from every corner of the world. And today, very proudly, i'm invited to participate this 1st ever exclusive event organize by MYC, a new-launched event in Malaysia, Samsung Mobilers.
It's hosted by the CEO of MYC, Mr.Jason Ko and Miss Choo Mei Sze, current NTV7 news broadcaster and also a celebrity blogger. It started off with a roll call from each college and lollipops giving session.
Haha, all of us are like children. x) Then we have one small game, like finding your mate. You're given a piece of paper with a word on it, like happy. Then you gotta look for your mate, which is Birthday. Anything that makes sense. Don't you create phrase like Happy Luck. There's no such thing. Unfortunately, i was so slow that i can't find a "done" for my "well", those who's fast got the presents. :(
It's Puma Water Bottles. you know i love pumaaaaaaa But in the end, i won myself a free movie ticket. x)

Mr. Jay Sheldon and
Miss Choo Mei Sze. i shall call it a sharing session, because a speech or a lecture wouldn't be so interesting and fun-filled. It's a very relax ones as Mr. Jay cracked a lot of jokes. He's so cool. Mei Sze shared a lot of her experiences and she's such an inspiration for me, especially. She's so young and she already has achieved so many things.A premium news broadcaster, a celebrity blogger, a PhD student in Psychology, and she's portraying a very positive and sporting personality, which made me feels like i wanna make her my role model. We have same surname, which made me kinda prouddd. TEEHEE
Then, lunch bites.I was sooooo hungry man, seriously. LOL

loyarburok The first thing is said is to clarify, yes, my name is really Pepper. My mum is a
beatles lover. That was so funny but to be honest, i guess all of us have the same question. I like his style of talking, like so Malaysian, feeling so close.

Mr.Rubin Khoo, the Managing Editor fro August Man Magazine. FYI, it's a magazine of luxury. I'm sorry for saying this, i only know he's chinese when i saw his name, the way he speak is just-no-so chinese.
The last guest speaker,
Miss Tianne Ramona Pereira, an urban writer of 8TV. Now, this one i'm sure she's mix. She shared a lot of tips on how to write a good article, how to think out of the box.
Before this, i was like
"okayhhhh, but blogging needs a lot of time, and updating regularly, i'm so lazy for that, i'll just let it die." From today's event, I have a sudden urge feeling wanting to improve on my writing, let it be contented and not just simply chucking in any dumb words. Everyone is a writer nowadays, but how to stand out? It's something to learn. And writing carries your name,
okayh i'll try not to say any bad words *guilty* and let sharing be genuine, you might be surprised. You can write it simple but not simply write it. And be careful,
social media is such an unforgiving place, once you're done, you're done FOREVER. Don't sully your name. I bet you know stories of Edison Chen and Alvin Tan, not so positively recognized. :/
So, i'm determined to be a responsible good blogger and you have my promise,i'll keep updating. But, i need to have readers to keep this blog from dying AGAIN.
:D so, do leave me any constructive message on how to improve my writing, i'll be glad and humble to learn. I really wanted to be a good writer atm. And i realize one similarity between all
successful passionate writers, they keep notepad, those old school type, maybe i should try it out.
