roommate, me or privacy ?

I'm having mood swing throughout this whole week, i'm just always not in the right mood. idk why but i guess it's because of my roommate. She's not a bad roommate but i guess i'm just not used of sharing a room with others, since, like i'm owning a room after my sis left for studies. I've been sleeping alone, singing aloud in the room, i've already get used to it. Before i get a roommate, people used to ask me whether i'm afraid or not, but i can tell i actually enjoy staying alone VERY MUCH. Everything is like different now, i have to start from all over again and learn how to live with others. It's gonna take some time for me to adapt, it's new for me. I just feel like my privacy is invaded and someone just intrude into my life.. Not easy, but i guess it's part of campus life :/ 


just have to learn and adapt.

Pesta Tanglung - Lantern Parade

Lantern Parade ? yep, it was held by Pesta Tanglung(it's sort of a club/society)in a conjuction of        Mooncake Festival.
i was sooooo anticipated to join, this was the first mega project i get to join and have fun ever since i enter UM.
so, i was so excited and join the collegemates to go along. Then, i found out i'm the only one who syok sendiri, because i'm the only first year girl. ONLY. ._. why were they not excited to join... /.\

At first, i was shocked coz i'm the only first year girl and of course lo, feeling a bit bored during the riddle guessing but somehow it turns out to be fun when all of us gathered and start circling the UM lake with lanterns in hand. We sang , and talk a lot. It feels so family like when you start to get close with your collegemates :)

Busy Day

12/09/12

Woke up early and had a nice, slow breakfast and was too late to catch a bus. All the buses are packed like a tin of sardine, so I decided to walk to the main library for the information skills class. Walk , walk faster, jog. After 14 mins, I finally reach the main library from my college which normally takes about 25 minutes I think. YEAY ! I wasn’t late teehee :D and then we were told that this class was not meant for us but it’s for INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ONLY. Gosh, you gotta be kidding right ? *jaw drops for a minute* and then walk out disappointedly and then walk up to 4^th floor up and down and then to 1^st floor, well basically just keep going up and down to settle our stuffs, matrix card, bus card, appeal letter. Finally I can’t take it anymore and decided to take a bus ride back to hostel and rest.

After I reach the hostel, I flipped through the newspaper and was waiting for my sister to save me out here for a nice lunch. Credits to my sis, I had a good chinese lunch and I tapao-ed back the pork rice as dinner also. Thankkkiiuuu :D

Then, I start cleaning my roommate’s place. Because until now, I still don’t have any roommate yt, which seems to be good thing to me (coz I like having lots of privacy). From 2.30pm until 4.30pm, cleaning only. Then, another 1 and a half hour for laundry D: ( I actually wanted to put it into the washing machine then pay RM2,gao dim..manatau it’s spoilt and telan my 40cents, so ended up washing myself lo, including 2 bedsheets. )

It was so tiring, I worked like a bull today, and I swear I’m not gonna wash this lot of clothes at once anymore, it kills !

First Class of My University Life ♥

Finally ! I’m blogging again. Hahaha,*no idea how long would it last this time* Okay, back to topic, the topic is “ First Class of My University Life”. Today 11^th September 2012, is having my first class ever because I don’t have a class on Monday, so here it  goes. 

First class was Pengantar Antropologi ( Introduction to Anthropology ) coded ALEA1101 starts at 10am-10.50am. Basically, we learn nothing much today as it’s the first class only so our lecturer just gave a short briefing on what we’ll have to learn throughout the whole semester. Actually, it wasn’t that bad, it’s a quite interesting subject to learn but the problem is she mumbles and it’s carried out in Malay, OMG. I was getting really sleepy. Really.

Sorry for saying that, OOPS. Second class is Macroeconomics, one of my fav subject during STPM. This is much better because it was carried out in English, fully English. And the lecture hall here is much better, tall ceiling with freezing cold air-conditioner to keep you awake during classes. Hahahah, no idea how im gonna survive here, I’m a cold feet le. Class starts from 11am-12.50pm, but we’re released earlier today. You see, class continues from 10am til 12.50pm, and I have to rush to another faculty(Faculty of Economics and Administration)after my anthropology class ended. So tiring !

And third, what?third? Yes, having 3 classes in a row for both Tuesday and Thursday. It’s Pengenalan Etnografi ( Introduction to Ethnography) and starts at 2pm-2.50pm. What I’m happy about it is it’s conducted in English ! Haha, and he does not mumbles.

Okayh, not much to say. But I can tell it’s really REALLY tiring. I’ve never expected it to be so tiring, I made mathematics calculation on it, comparing it to the study hours during secondary school. Darn, although it seems less, but you can never imagine how tired would it be. 

#lessonlearnt : never underestimate anything.

Oh ya, I actually went to the library after finish my classes, it’s really huge inside equipped with millions of books. But not too much for courses im taking :/ And I thought it’s already fixed to have 2 classes of lectures only for each course, and there’s another tutorial class to be added for each course. Another 4 classes ! you must be pulling my leg, right ?

GAWD, how am I gonna have my nap.

Oh ya, I still remember this, let’s pray for victims attacked in 911 incident 11 years ago. May them R.I.P. and their family blessed.

UM offer

I actually didn't know that today is the announcement for IPTA appeal for those who score 2.8 and above. I only knew it when i received a text message from Kah Yeik, i thought i'll missed out the full of fun orientation week. But, of course i don't have to.

There were 5 URLs provided, and when i first check, i wasn't offered any. So, i'm like "haiz, expected" but i was thinking it's quite impossible what, so did double check via SMS.
When i first saw i was like shouting, i was thinking YES ! i'm offered with MA81. I remember MAx1 is a code for Media Studies i apply for UM. I was over the moon !

So, i triple check it. This time, i saw this.

Guys, stop asking me what's this ok. I got so fed up.
But since i wasn't offered any course before, so i just accepted it, having some other plans for it.

But still, i'm really grateful with this. For getting a course in UM, both my siblings are here. It's a city, i can go anywhere easily, i'm not those jungle type person, i can't stay in that place forever. So, thank you. :)

IPTA annoucement

Well, today is the announcement of results of entering university, for me, i'm sure of intended to enter local government university as 1st: imma no rich gal. 2nd: i studied so hard just to get into local university because it's our people's rights to get the education subsidiary from the government *winks*


ok but..i was in total shock when i saw that the reply was
" Dukacita, anda gagal ditawarkan ke IPTA."

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON ??!!

I couldn't have any further response when i saw that, after triple confirm, my tears fall. I have been working so hard, and what is all this shit? I can't even get a place in IPTA ? My application wasn't like i wanted a medic course or what, it's really normal i swear.

We have 2 tiers , 1st tier was for more prominent university and 2nd tier was for more average ones.
Mine was:
Tier 1: UM - media studies
            UPM - communication
Tier 2 : UUM - Marketing
             UMS - International Business
             UMS - Marketing
             UMT - Marketing

I even apply for UMS and UMT, i just don't get why the hell i can't even get an offer? this is all crap you know, then first thing i do was e-appeal. Hopefully i can hear good news soon. :/

Life is always unfair.

Himpunan Hijau 2.0

okayh I shall make it short,it was a really peaceful gathering.It started at 9.30am, we reached around 9.15am. and we started walking along the road for like 20 mins? It was so organized that they even arranged volunteers to bring the supporters to cross the road and show the way. I was really impressed to be honest. :)

The first thing we saw there was, a man playing his flute with some sad melody. And then we saw that there's actually a dead body covered with a white cloth there. It's kinda saying that this Lynas has caused the death of his family.And i find this really touching, a lot of us were wiping tears.

After that was some local artists and musician performing, so here's a few i saw. Danny One, Yu Heng and 伍家辉.

 

Yu Heng the one in shades and on her left is 管启源.( a well-known song writer in M'sia)

Later on, we have a few politicians lead us shouting the slogan
" Hancur Lynas, Bersih Kimia !" .
I felt so patriotic at that moment, had not feel that before, to e honest, not even on Merdeka Day. and this day, i feel like i'm really contributing something to make this country to be freed from Lynas.

oh ya, the most proud thing is i shook hands with ABDUL SAMAD SAID.
could you believe that? he's such a great poet and novelist. Seriously, i do feel excited for meeting the local artist a few times in a row in a day,but i didn't say a Hi or took a photo with them. Instead, I just can't stop myself from not showing my hands to him when he passed by. He's so talented and he's not ego at all. He did not put on any airs, he's one of the local poet which i salute a lot. This is just great.

ok, i'm actually feeling dizzy already as I should get to bed 2 hours ago,so i'm ending this quick.

And this peaceful assembly made an eye-opening, why ? Because after this 30k HUGE assembly, we have no rubbish at all. this is a really successful assembly.
