SEM 2 2012/2013

Yo ! it's sem 2 already. It started officially, but lucky me from sem 1 till now still don't have class on the very first day of a new sem. But still i woke up early to settle some MKTH stuffs and then i went for dental appointment AGAIN. Yes, again.

Took a cab and reached Dentistry Fac just on time for y 11.30am appointment.

Guess what? found another hole on the other side of my mouth. Darn.

For like 20 years, i've been proud for having zero cavities, i was all having perfect dental health. Until i was diagnosed, i had a cavity on last appointment.

1st appointment; Dentist:" ni, ade lubang besar ni ! "

2nd appointment; 
Dentist:" I have done the temporary fillings for you today, you go and book appoinment for amalgam ya. Don't chew for half an hour. "
Me:" Is it i have a hole on both sides?" ( saw her doing another side )
Dentist:" Ya, both sides."
Me:" Oh, a small one is it?"
Dentist:" erhh, no, quite big."
Me:*whispering* oh shit.

Darn. It was not found during last treatment or did my tooth just decay in these 1 month? Wow, the decaying life of my tooth is extremely fast.
Wheee, and it spreaded or what, this time another cavity found. wtfish, is there gonna be more cavities the next round i check my teeth?　:Ｅ

It was very tiring when the dentist keep asking you :" Open your mouth, wider, wider. Don't move suddenly." I don't like the smell of the dental clinic and the noise from the machine. When the dentist drills or what, it irritates my ears a lot and i will be reminded of horror movies where the dentist is mentally ill and likes to torture people by pulling out their teeth one by one. I had goosebumps thinking of this. 



I never know how others think, but for me i really dislike going for dental checkup, i would rather get injections or blood sampling or whatever, i'm not afraid of needles but not dental checkup. Thus, i rarely go for checkup and even if i feel pain, i would just think it's sensitive teeth and normal gum swelling, nothing big. That explains why i have big holes and myself don't even notice about it. I start having this i-thought-it's-sensitive gum since form 4 time, without proper treatment, how can a dot size cavity not expand till a pea size? I was very tensed and i closed my eyes hard everytime i lay down the dental chair, and today i noticed that it's not that scary anymore. After few treatments, i don't feel pain anymore and for sure, i don't get awaken by pain anymore. Now only i realized the importance of taking good care of your teeth, you'll need them to eat, to bite. We have enzymes to help us to break down the food particles and villi in the small intestine to absorb the nutrients, but nothing will help you to maintain your dental health. If you're a addicted carbonated drinks drinker, and you're so lazy to brush your teeth clean, you can say Sayonara to your teeth very soon.

If you're a uni student, i think you're entitled for free dental checkup. Why wait then? I've got mine checked, what about you? Don't waste the welfare given to you as a uni student, go to your uni's dental clinic to have a proper checkup and treatment.

Sem 1 result

Just checked MYUM portal and got my results already. Overall result still get more than 3.0, but it's not what i've expected. Also being in UM is not easy, getting a 3.0 is never satisfying, never. I aimed for dean list, but since I knew my scores for core subjects already, so wasn't expected much. All falls out of my expectation, or maybe i was over confident. I remember i was smiling walking out of the examination hall for those subjects except Quantitative Analysis.

I was expecting A for APK(Basic of Enterpreneurship Culture), like so sure i'm gonna score it right. But i got an A-, damn ! It's a bit different with APK class this year, no more APK Day. So 30% weightage comes from final exam result and 70% comes from assignment. Of course, you'll have to figure out an business idea and write it on a blog and present it. And yes, Lee Ling and i did most of the work, coz she's the group leader and i'm the idea generator. I'm the one who gave the idea of the business, "One Stop Wedding Planning Service". An absolute brilliant idea with low modal and risk. Whatever, but i think i did well during the presentation. Damn steady, was so confident in presenting the idea. All the questions thrown to me was well answered, even Pn. Ponmalar was smiling and she didn't even frown a bit. I thought it was telling me a positive score. And damn, A-. *heart stops beating for a sec* I was hopping such that this simple subject can help to raise my GPA a bit, yeah really a bit ONLY. DAMN !!! I'm feeling very unfair for this, no matter you participate or not in this assignment, or you just shake your legs and put your hands into the pocket and watch, you'll still gotta get the same marks for the whole group. It's not tally with the effort i've put in, some others just care to chat and gossips at a corner while some of us are squeezing the brain juice. The instructor told us since early, every of us will get the same scoring. I mean like seriously, marks should be given individually. Do you see? THIS IS SO UNFAIR. Those who work hard will feel angry as we do not get higher marks for doing more work, and those lazy bums will be like " Wow, i'm so lucky to score this high." wtf.

For Anthro and Ethno, i got speechless at all to explain the shitty result. I just don't know why, expected these 2 to be A. But, why ? :'(

QAB? Yeah, explainable. I have 2 minor test for it, scored well for the first test and screwed the other. Reason? I was lack of sleep and gt all blurred, i did study but confused mind was all i get. Lack of sleep because of the FIN thing, damn JKP KESENI compensate my loss !!! >.< Marks was counted based on minor test and also assignment. What about assignment? Screwed again ! There's a huge misunderstanding but also at the same time it's my fault. My name was left out and i've asked the lecturer, but she didn't update the list. I was also an idiot, forgot to inform the other groupmates. I was waiting until i feel that it's a bit late to start doing the work together and then only i realized that the other groupmates didn't know my existence. So i actually stayed overnight and did all the questions in case they thought i purposely join them late, to do less work. In the end, i just end up helping with the questions coz they've almost done. But still even if i'm the other groupmate, i will feel angry too, i guess they gave me very low peer-rating marks. *sigh* expected, i didn't blame them. Damn it, expected it will not be an A. First, the paper was really hard, it's the only paper i didn't smile walking out of the examination hall. *gasp* Second, the minor test and the assignment.
What if i didn't screw test 2 and the assignment... how sad. 




CNY mood just gone like that, Bye bye.
What i have to do is work harder for next sem.

Home, homed #5

I'm homed finally. Hohoho ! Surprise attack for my mum, told her i'm only coming back on Wednesday morning, will only arrive by noon, but i actually came back on Tuesday night. Yep, i took 9pm night bus, from Puduraya Terminal. *shhh* without telling her, i asked Nyak Hong to come and fetch me and went yumcha with the gang after i reach. Just to make sure i came home late enough so that she won't know. x) Supposed to bring all m luggage into my room, but i got so tired with the tonnes weighted luggages, carried them for i guess around 60 stairs. Enough of it, and i was too tired so just leave it in the living room and drag my already-sleeping-body to hit the sack.Mum was surprised to see the luggages then only she run to my room and see me sleeping, she smiled. That precious smile worth a thousand words, and i just replied :"surprise le..", mumbled a few words, then back to my dreamland.

The gang kinda like nag me a bit for coming home alone so late. To be honest, i just wanted to come home fast and the adventurous spirit in mine just never thought of the danger around me. When i'm sitting here safely and think of what kind of bad things could happen to me, I got goosebumps.  >.< I was really putting myself at a risk. :/ should be more careful next time.

Wanted to update my blog the next day, i was shocked to see that i've not update it for like 6 days? The last post was on 1st Feb, and it's 6th already.. But still didn't managed to do it, why? Procrastinate it for my all-time fav hobby ♥

  That was my homemade Famous Amos cookies. It's finger licking, i'm gonna guarantee you for that. *wink*

And today, oops, yesterday, what i did was this.

Cheese tarts ! it's just pastry shell, without the filling yet, didn't take the photos of the after-filled tarts. I was rushing to see my babes ! ♥

These 2 are all my first try, baking has stopped for like half a year? Bought all the ingredients and just when i wanted to bake it, I was busy with the IPTA thing already. All left abandoned in the kitchen cabinet. I have a very sweet tooth, that's why i'm hooked with all kinds of desserts. I'm the only one got so enthusiastic in baking.


Stories told after i've reached home, how about the 2 days before it? Let's rewind.

Remember the post #OOTD ? After done blogging about it, i went to Midvalley alone. ( yes i'm a loner :p get so used spending time alone)  Spent some time reading and having some nice food. Sometimes kinda enjoy the quiet moment, the time where you can observe people and guess their thinking from their expressions. Analyzing every words spoken and every facial expression changes has somehow became my sometimes hobby. A photographer captures the mood of the people with a camera, but i capture it with my eyes. Sometimes when i see them smiling, i can feel the true happiness in them. Guess it's the advantage of being an anthropology student :) Btw, i was lucky enough to watch Lion Dance and Acrobatic performance held in Midvalley, was surrounded by the CNY atmosphere.

Last Sunday, i can't stand filling hunger with Vico, Oat, Nestum 3-in-1, so went for Subway with Kim at Tropicana City Mall.

On 4th, i remember i was having some bad day, and the mood is really like dropping from heaven to hell. Everything was pending and got all negative replies, and Malc was also very down that time. He went for delicacies to cheer himself a bit, and also tapao-ed for me. Thank you so mucccchhhhh ♥

As what i captioned on instagram, desserts never fail to make me happy. :)

 Vanilla crepe cake from Food Foundry, in Section 17. 

I've neither been there nor having a slice of crepe cake before, and it taste just like heaven. Every single layer was filled with ice-cream like filling and it melts in your mouth. I've viewed the pictures of Food Foundry on their facebook page, it's a place i would like to go, very much. And thanks to him, my list of delicacies tried in first sem extended ! Haha ( all worries gone after nomming :p)

 okay, i'm bored.

sem break #part2

Yealllloooowwww, i'm here blogging again, just to share how i spare my sem break.  Well, i'm still stuck in college, still here in Kuala Lumpppuuur. Still surviving, nevermind. But why? Supposed i'm staying for FESENI choir practice, and everybody like just packed and went home, and nobody give a damn about it. So, i still stick with my initial plan because i still have something to follow up with my faculty and HEP. Gotta swing back to my smelly fishy town only by next week. owhhh *sobz*

Not too bad, i still get to shop a bit for CNY. You know how long have i been resisting myself from shopping? Since i enter UM, the only clothes i bought was 2 tees from Brands Outlet costing RM9 each ( coz i didn't brought enough tees for schooling) and college & club tees. Yesss, i'm finally having excuses to release my passion for shopping. Supposed it's not something surprising but it's really not easy for me, a PTPTN loaner to have extra money for clothes. Since it's CNY, i got to break awhile. :) Let's see where i've been.

Been to Berjaya Times Square twice this week, last Monday and Wednesday.
Monday first. Went to Sungei Wang to shop for the first round and then Times Square for movie with Malcolm. "CZ12", ze movie. Jackie Chan's production will never disappoint you, always worth way moreeee than your movie ticket is. He's a real actor, an actor who gives his life for film. The action scenes never fail to get your adrenaline rush through your vessels, more interesting? He never use any stuntman. How amazing he is. Always, Jackie Chan is the keyword of good movies. 

Thanks to Malc for this cute lil souvenir from Hong Kong, and still i feel guilty about that day's incident. I'm sorry, really. Can't stop thinking of it. It makes me headache. :'(





How about Wednesday? went to Times Square with Kim and her friends ! made new friends hoho! Kim and I both shopped awhile and the guys had their own sweet time :D hahhah, luckily, or else they gonna stone. :p

After that, we went to the legendary BurgerLab for dinner. It's a must try, finally as a UM student, finally i still get to try it before my first sem ends.( it actually ended, but still count la coz i'm still here) I actually wanted to try all the delicacies around UM within the first sem, and i did it. I'm super proud of it, fyi not even seniors have try them all. Let me list it out, JOJO pan mee ( i think the Kuantan Beijing mee taste better :x ), Kei Tak Sek Dessert Shop, SS2 Murni, Curry Wantan Mee, and Burger Lab. Well at least i've already tried this few within the first sem, more to come i guess? :D If you ever been for Curry Wantan Mee, then you'll know the place. Just in front of it. Yep, at Sea Park. I've never write about Curry Wantan Mee right? because you only get to eat it at 4am. That's when my eyes are closing, who would care about writing about it? Everyone will just doze off once they eat it.

Finally we burger-labbed ! with Andy, Adrian, Jason and Kim! aloha, new friends ! :D

My choice was Beef A+ combo set, comes with soda and 

awesome fries. RM 21. But worth the price, trust me. Some might be shocked to see the colour of the bun, don't worry, it's edible. I've roughly describe about the yumminess of Carls. Junior burger, what makes it different is the bun and the fries. It's still charbroiled burger, not with normal sesame bun, but charcoal bun. The fillings are a bit different, with beef patty, cheddar cheese, lettuce, caramelized onions and fresh shiitake mushrooms. The combination was perfect, it melts. What surprised me was the shiitake, i've never thought mushrooms could taste this right with burger. All of my life, burger was bun+patty+sauce and perhaps lettuce, this shiitake just burst with the taste! The aroma that linger around you. Not forgetting the fries, it's wholly awesome. Bites of potatoes that is sprinkled with herbs that satisfy your taste bud through every bite of goodness. If i were to compare, Mc D gets a degree, Carls Junior gets a master, and Burger Lab gets a PhD. :DD of course, not comparable, the price is so much different ! Mc D is still my best friend, (when i have tight budget) :p

Now? it's 3.42am and i'm still blogging. It means my previous promise just broke. OHHH NOOOO. Dramas again, the devil won. He keep telling me, why waste it since the line is so freaking fast now, it's not like you can get this wifi speed during normal times, so appreciate ! Damn, gonna finish another drama now. I'm insane. Lost all my mind catching up episodes by episodes. Gaaahhh.
