Himpunan Hijau 2.0

okayh I shall make it short,it was a really peaceful gathering.It started at 9.30am, we reached around 9.15am. and we started walking along the road for like 20 mins? It was so organized that they even arranged volunteers to bring the supporters to cross the road and show the way. I was really impressed to be honest. :)

The first thing we saw there was, a man playing his flute with some sad melody. And then we saw that there's actually a dead body covered with a white cloth there. It's kinda saying that this Lynas has caused the death of his family.And i find this really touching, a lot of us were wiping tears.

After that was some local artists and musician performing, so here's a few i saw. Danny One, Yu Heng and 伍家辉.

 

Yu Heng the one in shades and on her left is 管启源.( a well-known song writer in M'sia)

Later on, we have a few politicians lead us shouting the slogan
" Hancur Lynas, Bersih Kimia !" .
I felt so patriotic at that moment, had not feel that before, to e honest, not even on Merdeka Day. and this day, i feel like i'm really contributing something to make this country to be freed from Lynas.

oh ya, the most proud thing is i shook hands with ABDUL SAMAD SAID.
could you believe that? he's such a great poet and novelist. Seriously, i do feel excited for meeting the local artist a few times in a row in a day,but i didn't say a Hi or took a photo with them. Instead, I just can't stop myself from not showing my hands to him when he passed by. He's so talented and he's not ego at all. He did not put on any airs, he's one of the local poet which i salute a lot. This is just great.

ok, i'm actually feeling dizzy already as I should get to bed 2 hours ago,so i'm ending this quick.

And this peaceful assembly made an eye-opening, why ? Because after this 30k HUGE assembly, we have no rubbish at all. this is a really successful assembly.


I'm looking forward to Himpunan Hijau 3.0 :)

Himpunan Hijau 2.0 on 26-02-2012

Arggh, still angry about the incident just now. Nevermind, forget about it first, now let's focus on the himpunan hijau. Tomorrow will be the himpunan hijau  2.0. What is this event about actually ?I only understand it by an assembly to fight against Lynas Advanced Materials Plant built in Gebeng, Kuantan.
Some of you might wonder, what are the effects of  this rare earth thing? Well, have you heard of Bukit Merah? Bukit Merah showed the best example. Pregnant mothers worked in the factory and delivered a down syndrome, retarded child. Tragedy has happened, and we will not let it happen twice. I just don't understand why the government still allow the investment of this Lynas corporation .So, we have to stop it before it's too late. We, Malaysians will gather tomorrow and tell the government, they're wrong! We want to voice out what do we want what we don't.

WE WANT A SAFE MALAYSIA.
WE WANT A WARM AND HARMLESS HOME.
WE WANT A SAFE AND PEACEFUL KUANTAN. 
WE WANT A CLEAN AND SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR OUR FUTURE GENERATIONS.
WE WANT TO SAVE MALAYSIA.


WE DON'T WANT LYNAS.
WE DON'T WANT A POLLUTED LAND.
WE DON'T WANT RADIOACTIVE WASTES.
WE DON'T WANT SKIN DISEASES AND CANCER.
WE DON'T WANT MALAYSIA TO BE DAMNED.


SO, STOP LYNAS ! i urge all of you to join the assembly tomorrow,9.30am at MPK 4 field, wearing green. Or if you will not be able to attend, you can change your facebook profile picture holding a card writing :" Save Malaysia, Stop Lynas! ". Show them the green power !

Some might even act like it's non of his business. Oh pls, it's everybody's business. It's an global issue now, once we're damned, we're done. I'm sure you wouldn't want to see your child or grandchildren born mutated or retarded or your folks crying that they see another rare earth tragedy in this life again. So, here we rise and fight. Many of you might wonder will we succeed? Yes, unity is the strength. United we stand, divided we fall. Choose to be a fighter while you still can, don't be a coward.
